The new, $12 million elementary school is scheduled to open for September 2017 and will accommodate up to 504 students in grades JK-8 as well as infant, toddler and preschool child care. The new school will replace the current school, located on Hill Street.
The two-storey design includes a centrally located gymnasium and multi-use design concepts throughout. Renderings and layouts are available on our website. Cornerstone Architects designed the building and Norlon Builders London Limited is the contracted builder.
"This new, state of the art school will enable us to better accommodate our students, their families and their needs," said Linda Staudt, Director of Education. "We are grateful for the support from the Ministry of Education, especially for funding space for the daycare portion of the building."
Representatives from the Ministry of Education, Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Dabrowski, local dignitaries, members of the Board of Trustees, the Director of Education, a group of students from the current school and others are scheduled to attend.
The London District Catholic School Board educates approximately 18,000 students at 45 elementary, nine secondary schools and the Centre for Lifelong Learning within Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin counties, including the cities of London, St. Thomas and Woodstock.
