Eligibility:

β€’ At least 18 years of age
β€’ Out of high school for more than 1 year
β€’       CLB 6 or higher in listening and speaking

Computer Readiness  

We have laptops available that you can use. We also can help you obtain your own device through the Renewed Computer 
Technology - Outreach program if you are eligible.​

Course Programs

We develop courses requested by learners and based on curriculum standards. Below are popular courses.
Referrals to services and guest speakers during these programs help enrich learning.

INTAKE – Your Action Plan (25-30 hours)
Discussions, computer, and paperwork help you identify what you do well and what you must 
improve. In this program, you set goals and identify what you need to do to get there. 
Required: All levels

Needed Skills for Employment & Pre-Apprenticeship (110 hours)
What skills do you have that employers need? Taking surveys, completing work-related tasks, participating in discussions, and attending sessions where guest speakers are provided to help you identify what you can uniquely offer employers. Speaking with our pre-apprenticeship students can also help you to decide if you want to work in the trades. 
Recommended: All levels for those with workplace goal

Computer Basics (33 hours per level)
Do you want to learn how to work with a computer and use software applications?  We can help you update your skills using authentic online tasks. We have laptop computers available that you can use.
Recommended: All  levels

Transition to Credit – Portfolio 
Creation & Culminating Work (110 hours)
To prepare for entry to our credit programs, portfolios are created using a variety of media. Learners rehearse for the exit task:  a formal credential evaluation with Guidance. The quality of the portfolio and presentation helps determine the number of equivalency credits granted towards the Grade 12 diploma. 
Required: Levels – 2 and 3 for those with education goal
