Dual Credit

The Dual Credit program is an educational initiative designed to support students in Grades 11 and 12 who are enrolled in secondary school but have not yet earned their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). This program aims to help students who may be disengaged or underachieving, particularly those in Grade 12, by providing an opportunity to participate in college-level courses. By completing these courses, students earn both a college credit and a secondary school credit, with a maximum of four dual credits allowed towards their OSSD. The program focuses on easing the transition to post-secondary education through exposure to college culture, pathway clarification, and supports for independence on a college campus. Participation is free for students, including costs such as transportation, textbooks, and equipment. Students within the city of London receive bus tickets, students who live outside of the city are provided transportation to the college campus. Referrals are facilitated by the school-based Student Success Team, and additional visits can be arranged for those needing support with the transition.

Our dual credit day away program is offered in partnership between our catholic secondary schools and Fanshawe College.
