New Superintendent of Education Announced

The London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Vince Romeo as a new Superintendent of Education, effective August 1 and pending approval by the Ministry of Education. Vince replaces Sharon Wright-Evans, who is retiring after 40 years in education, 28 with the LDCSB (and its predecessor board).

​Vince is a graduate of John Paul II Catholic Secondary School in London. He received his Ontario teaching certificate in 2001, following the completion of a Bachelor of Arts degree from UWO in 1999 and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Windsor in 2001. He also received a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from Charles Stuart University in Australia in 2008.

Vince started teaching with the LDCSB in 2002. After teaching at St. Charles Catholic Elementary School and then at Jean Vanier Catholic Elementary School, in 2008 he was appointed Vice Principal, initially at St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School and then at St. Raphael Catholic Elementary School. In 2009 he was appointed Principal at Holy Rosary Catholic Elementary School and then served as Principal at St. Michael's Catholic Elementary School in Woodstock.

Serving with the Ministry of Education in the position of Student Achievement Officer since 2014, Vince has supported support eight school boards to improve learning outcomes and reduce gaps for all students.
