Wanted: French and Occasional Teachers

We are looking for Catholic French Teachers and Occasional Teachers NOW! 

We believe that recruiting and selecting Catholic teachers, who will serve the spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, aesthetic, and social needs of students, is of paramount importance.

The London District Catholic School Board has a reputation for excellence, with more than 3,000 employees working together to educate approximately 18,000 students at 45 elementary schools, 9 secondary schools and the Centre for Lifelong Learning within Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin counties, including the cities of London, St. Thomas, Strathroy and Woodstock.

French Immersion/French as a Second Language Permanent & Occasional Teachers

  • Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree and must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • French qualifications are required
  • Previous elementary and/or secondary teaching experience preferred
  • Experience in a Catholic school system preferred
  • A strong and active Catholic faith life
  • Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum and evaluation & assessment techniques

Occasional Teachers

Successful candidates will be required to travel to schools throughout system and must be available to accept assignments with short notice on a regular basis.
  • Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree and be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Teaching experience in a Catholic school system is preferred
  • A strong and active Catholic faith life
  • Extensive knowledge of Ontario curriculum, assessment and evaluation techniques
 
Only complete application portfolios on the Apply to Education website​ will be processed. Portfolios must include the following:
  • Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Registration in Good Standing and Certificate of Qualification
  • Faith Reference Portfolio
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Copies of most recent Performance Appraisal and/or Practice Teaching Reports
  • A minimum of three relevant references i.e. placement Principals, placement teachers, previous or current employers
  • Copies of undergraduate transcripts from universities, colleges if applicable
  • Preservice Roman Catholic Religious Education Course is preferred
