The classroom must remain a place that supports, promotes and embraces the teaching/learning process.  With this in mind, the use of PEDs must support the teaching/learning process.   At OLI the expectation is that PEDs are off and out of sight during instructional/non instructional (recess, hallways) time and in all instructional spaces.  PEDs may be used during instructional time only with the expressed permission of the classroom teacher/principal and only in a manner that supports the teaching/learning process.  Only in the case of an emergency will the students be allowed to use the school phone.  Arrangements for after school rides or activities should be arranged prior to coming to school in the morning.
