The Middlesex-London Health Unit provides FREE Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) discussion groups for parents and caregivers of children and youth (2 – 18 years). This is an evidence-based model where parents can learn positive parenting strategies.
Topics being offered for parents of children 2-12 years of age include: developing good bed time routines; whining; tantrums; hassle free shopping with children; dealing with disobedience and dealing with fighting & aggression. There are also classes for parents of adolescents 12-18 years of age. Sessions for parents of teenagers include the following topics: coping with teenager's emotions; reducing family conflict; building teenager survival skills; teens and dating; getting teenagers to cooperate; raising responsible teenagers; raising competent connected teenagers.
