Allan Simpson Educational Fund
Criteria: Assistance for young people who are orphans. Renewable if the applicant maintains a passing grade in all courses as a full-time student.
Value: Amount varies each year.
Criteria: Must be registered as a High School Ambassador. This competition (based on the Grade 12 accounting curriculum) is designed for students interested in the accounting profession.
Value: $100 - $1,500
Other Documentation: Must have a signed parental consent form if under 18.
Diabetes Hope Foundation
Criteria: Recognizes students who demonstrate active involvement in their community and/or sports activities while engaging in healthy self-management of their diabetes.
Essay Required: Choose 1 of 2 essay topics provided (1,000 word maximum)
Value: 25 - $2,500
Other Documentation: 2 letters of reference (1 medical and 1 non-medical)
Girl Guides Canada
Criteria: Open to members who are pursuing a post-secondary education at a recognized college, university or trades program on a full-time or part-time basis. Applicants must remain a Girl Guides member for the 2017-18 guiding year.
Essay Required: Short essay questions that lets them know what guiding has meant to you.
Value: 25 awards ranging from $2,000 (Full time) to (Part-time worth $1,000)

Jack Richardson Bursary
Criteria: The applicant must be pursuing music as a major at a post-secondary school in London and have made a strong contribution to the school music program.
Essay Required: 500-1,000 words (topic provided)
Other Documentation: Letter of recommendation from music teacher or a guidance counsellor
OFSAA Alumni Scholarship
Criteria: To student athletes in pre-determined member associations. Criterion includes participation in high school sports, involvement in other areas of school and community activity, and an overall average of at least 80%.
Essay Required: One page letter describing how school sport has influenced your life.
Value: 4 - $500
Other Documentation: Recommendation letter from teacher or teacher/coach at the high school
Retail as a Career (Canadian Retail Institute)
Criteria: Students entering a retail, business, or marketing-related program at a Canadian college or university and currently working at least part-time in retail.
Essay Required: 600-800 words (topic provided)

Other Documentation: Letter of reference (200 words max.) from your current retail employer. Proof of enrolment.
Royal Canadian Legion Bursary
Criteria: Awarded based on financial need. Available to ex/currently serving members of The Canadian Forces (Regular or Reserve), to war veterans and their children/grandchildren as well as ordinary and life members or associate members of the Royal Canadian Legion or ladies' auxiliary members and their children/grandchildren.
Value: $500 per scholastic year
Other Documentation: Student must be applying to OSAP. A portion of the form must be completed by the Legion Branch of the student's sponsor. Applications must be mailed.
Scouts Canada Foundation
Criteria: Currently active and registered members will be selected based on: scouting history, involvement and achievement; leadership contributions to scouting; community leadership; scholastic achievements; and attitude and aptitude. Recipients are expected to continue involvement with Scouts Canada.
Essay Required: 200-word statement on the value of scouting in your life
Value: 20 - $1,000
Other Documentation: 2 letters of reference: one from scouting organization; one from outside organization (preferably from school)
