School Boundary Review

The purpose of an Accommodation Review Advisory Committee (ARAC or school boundary review) is to change/establish an attendance area(s) for our schools. All relevant background information, along with the Preliminary Administrative Report, key meeting dates, public notices, Committee meeting agendas and minutes will be posted as they become available.

North London Secondary Review Area

 

On June 23, 2025, the Board approved following recommendation:

 

It is recommended that an Accommodation Review Advisory Committee (ARAC) be established in the 2025/26 school year to review and make recommendations regarding the establishment of attendance boundaries for the new North London Secondary School and attendance boundary changes for the following identified schools:

 

Catholic Central High School

John Paul II Catholic Secondary School

Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School

Saint Andre Bessette Catholic Secondary School

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School

 

 

October – November 2025

The Board will receive a Preliminary Report of proposed boundary change(s) for the North London Secondary Review Area to establish an attendance boundary for the new North London Secondary School.

 

November - December 2025

The Board Chair shall appoint an Accommodation Review Advisory Committee (ARAC) as soon as possible for the review area.

 

January – March 2026

The North London Secondary ARAC will hold at least one public meeting to receive input from interested individuals and groups and shall request written comments from all interested parties.

 

May 2026

The North London Secondary ARAC will prepare a report with recommendations to the Board, including written comments submitted from interested parties.

 

Administration will provide a Final Report regarding the proposed boundaries to the Board of Trustees with recommendations.

 

 

Middlesex Centre Elementary Review Area

 

On March 24, 2025, the Board approved following recommendation:

 

It is recommended that an Accommodation Review Advisory Committee (ARAC) be established in the 2025/26 school year to review and make recommendations regarding the establishment of attendance boundaries for the new Middlesex Centre Elementary School and attendance boundary changes fore the following identified schools:

 

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Elementary School

St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School

St. Theresa Catholic Elementary School

October – November 2025

The Board will receive a Preliminary Report of proposed boundary change(s) for the Middlesex Centre Elementary Review Area to establish an attendance boundary for the new Middlesex Centre Elementary School.

 

November – December 2025

January – March 2026

Northeast  London Elementary Review Area (COMPLETED)

 

On December 18, 2023, the Board approved following recommendation:

 

That the Board establish the Northeast London Elementary Accommodation Review Advisory Committee (ARAC) as per Policy J 2.4 – School Boundary Policy, and that a final decision regarding boundary changes be made prior to December 31, 2024.

 

 

Background/Purpose:

 

The purpose of this Preliminary Administrative Report is to provide a timeline for the Northeast London Elementary boundary review, an analysis of enrolments and facility utilization, residential development in northeast London, present accommodation options, and make recommendations for boundary changes.

 

The Northeast London ARAC involves the following schools

 

  • St. Anne Catholic Elementary School (London)
  • St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Elementary School
  • St. Kateri Catholic Elementary School
  • St. Mark Catholic Elementary School

Northwest  London Elementary Review Area  (COMPLETED)

 

On October 25, 2021, the Board approved following recommendation:

 

That the Board establish the Northwest London Elementary Accommodation Review Advisory Committee (ARAC) as per Policy J 2.4 – School Boundary Policy, and that a final decision regarding boundary changes be made prior to June 30, 2022.

 

 

Background/Purpose:

 

The purpose of this Preliminary Administrative Report is to provide a timeline for the Northwest London Elementary boundary review, an analysis of enrolments and facility utilization, residential development in northwest London, present accommodation options, and make recommendations for boundary changes.

 

The accommodation options in this report involve the creation of an attendance boundary for the Northwest London Elementary School effective September 2023 and boundary changes for the following schools:

 

  • St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Elementary School
  • St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Elementary School
  • St. Paul Catholic Elementary School
